My current research is focused on the following areas:
1. Target-based whole-cell screening of compounds inhibiting various targets in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) and SecA1-regulated Mycobacterium smegmatis.
2. Purification of full-length/truncated Sats protein and crystallization of it in isolation or in complex with Mce4e protein.
3. Purification and crystallization of Mtb RibF protein, optimization of its associated enzyme assays, and subsequent high-throughput screening of compounds.
4. Whole-cell assay screening of compounds against prostate and colon cancer cell lines.
