My research interests are enzymology and drug design because I am intrigued by the increase in anti-bacterial resistance seen around the globe. I specifically work with M. tuberculosis and I employ a multitude of biochemical techniques to study the mycobacterium. My current research directly relates a protein’s structure to its function in search of compounds that inhibit or activate a protein depending on the target. Through collaborations with other labs and universities, I hope to contribute to the fight against infectious disease.
