Genomics and bioinformatics are key components of mycobacterial research in the SAC lab. I am involved in NGS, library preps, and bioanalyzing mycobacterial genomes from our lab as well as our collaborators. I use microbiological approaches for target identification and validation of the mycobacterial inhibitors screened in the lab.
My experience with the structure-function relationship in nucleic acid polymerases and the industrial knowledge I acquired at NEB also help me to contribute to various other ongoing projects in the Sacchettini lab.
